5 WAYS TO FIND JOY IN YOUR JOURNEY

  1. PRAY / TALK TO GOD

A simple, yet sometimes difficult thing for some to do. When you learn to talk to God about everything, life will seem easier. He already knows what you’re going through, but would love to hear it from you personally. Prayer is just a conversation between you and your Heavenly Father. Make prayer a lifestyle; make your life a prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17 TPT).

2. SMILE

Smiling and laughing makes you happier! It’s a proven fact. (And you probably just smiled when you read this! LOL). That’s what “joy” is; it’s happiness, it’s being joyful and jovial. The next time you feel sad or stressed, just begin to smile and you’ll begin to feel better… “turn that frown upside down”!

3. BE GRATEFUL / BE THANKFUL

Being grateful and thankful for what you have is a blessing that opens up doors for more blessings! There are some who have more than you, but aren’t grateful for what they have. There are some who have less than you, and aren’t grateful for what they currently have. Philippians 4:11 NLT says, “…for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.” I always say, “Thank You Jesus for every blessing big and small. I am grateful for them all!”

4. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Because I believe in God, I am able to believe in myself. I know that with God I can do all things! (Philippians 4:13). That’s the key to believing in yourself—GOD. I know that without Him I am nothing, but with Him I have everything I need to accomplish His purpose for my life. In 2 Chronicles 20:20 KJV it says, “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye prosper.”

5. TRY NEW THINGS

Many ask me how do I know how to do this or how to do that? The answer is simple: I try. It is trial and error to me—I see something, I try it, and if it works out, GREAT! If not, oh well, at least I tried! Take time to try new things — new ventures, new food/restaurants, new products, meet new people, etc. Just try…

I pray these first steps will help you to find JOY in your JOurneY. Wake up and enjoy the day! —
